Planfor

At Planfor, we have been developing our nursery since 1983. We use seeds and cuttings to produce young plants which are rooted in forestry plugs. We have produced 12 million young plants in this country of more than 250 different species. Our European customers include forestry professionals, landscaping professionals and nurseries. .

Foresters use our plants to reforest areas or create new forest areas.

Landscaping professionals use our plants in numerous projects including planting schemes alongside motorways, restoration of quarries and industrial wastelands, in the creation of countryside hedges and alongside waterways.

Nurseries replant our plants into open ground or into containers for growing on, pruning and are able to offer a range of good sized plants to their customers.

All professionals need to be able to guarantee their customers good growth and stability of trees and shrubs and that they are suitable for the climatic conditions. For these reasons a number of them work with our nurseries and to ensure that the young plug plants that we produce develop a strong root system without deformation which is the best evidence of quality in a young plug plant. This gives the best opportunity for successful projects.
